Are you Laboring for God?

The Bible declares whatsoever you do, do it unto to the Lord and not unto man!!(Col 3:23) There are a lot of people that are seeking approval from man and not God. Some people have selfish ambition and self-gratification as their purpose. When we have this type of mindset, we are setting ourselves up for complete failure!

I want you to look at the story of Cain and Abel, Cain and Abel are brothers who were children of Adam and Eve. Cain was a tiller of the ground and Abel was a keeper of sheep. I want to point out the importance of doing whatever you are doing unto the Lord and not unto man and the danger of laboring with the wrong intentions. When you have bad intention or your motive are not for the right reason, and it should be for God to get all the Glory!!

Would you agree that both brothers had to have knowledge of what they were doing, and I would dare to say that they were good at what they were doing. The bible said that Cain brought his offering and Abel brought his offering, I believe both men were working hard, however Cain laboring was in vein. The bible tells us that our labor in the Lord is not in vein!! (1 Cor 15:58) God Had know respect for Cain.

Cain offering was filled with decent and jealousy, while Abel laboring was in the right place, and God had respect for Abel offering. God had no respect for Cain offering because he knew that Cain had another agenda, and he was doing it for the wrong reason. The bible says in Gen 4:7 if thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted, meaning if you have good intention then it will be accepted, God knows your heart, the latter said if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. If your laboring is lace with sin, a sinful way of living, outward your doing works and behind closed doors you have a whole different agenda, living an entirely different life, understand that God knows and sees everything!! You cannot try and fool God with your labor, it must be genuine unto the Lord and not unto man. As you read the story you will see that Cain killed Abel due to jealousy, your issue may not be jealousy it may be something else. I want you to revaluate your heart and make sure you are doing it unto the Lord and not unto man, whatever your true motive is it will show it face..
